Downtown Islamabad
Madina Builders
The Downtown Islamabad model was a standout urban-scale development project, showcasing a complete mixed-use masterplan with commercial blocks, residential buildings, landscaped zones, and public spaces. The project was initiated in mutual collaboration with the builder, with the original model first constructed in China. However, due to disruptions during transport and setup, the model arrived in a damaged state. Our team stepped in and rebuilt, re-curated, and reshaped the entire model in Pakistan, preserving the design intent while significantly enhancing the finish and functionality to meet high presentation standards.
Key features of the final model included a centerpiece pond created using real water, carefully contained with epoxy resin layering and textured base treatments to simulate realistic depth and movement. Fully operational miniature fountains were engineered and installed into the model, adding life and interactivity to the display. Essential scale modeling techniques were used throughout the rebuild process: CNC laser-cut structures, 3D-printed parts, individual building fabrication, LED lighting with wireless control, and detailed landscaping using imported trees, urban furniture, and scaled die-cast vehicles. The result was a complete revival of the Downtown Islamabad model, accurate, functional, and visually compelling, serving as a high-value presentation asset for the developer and stakeholders.
